More than a procession, the Saint Patrick’s Day Parade is a symbol of connection—linking past and present, neighbors and newcomers, tradition and celebration. It is a day to honor heritage, recognize community leaders, and create lasting memories, all while sharing in the joy and camaraderie that make this annual event a cherished regional tradition. 🍀
Start of the Parade Route
This year marks our 49th Annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade. We’ve come a long way since the very first Northern Westchester-Putnam St. Patrick’s Day Parade marched in the pouring rain, with a small contingent, down Gleneida Avenue to Putnam Plaza on Route 6 in Carmel.
This parade has become a much-anticipated event, growing larger every year. It is with gratitude we offer many thanks to those whom have stood fast with us to help keep this parade alive. In these economic times, it’s difficult to raise the monies needed to keep this parade going; we are reaching out to you, our friends and neighbors, to help us continue this grand tradition for our community.
Attached are ways you can help to sponsor and support the parade. If you are not in a financial position to help and know of a business or individual who may be able to do so, we would greatly appreciate it if you would pass the attached information along to them. You can also show your support by coming to the parade to enjoy the day with us, to celebrate Irish culture and being an American! Additionally, if you would like to march in the parade as an individual or as part of a group, please email us at MahopacStPatricks@aol.com to register. Please include the name of the organization and contact information.
The parade steps off promptly at 2:00 PM on Sunday, March 8, 2026. Prior to the parade, we invite you to join us as we stand at attention for the Pledge of Allegiance at the Mahopac Volunteer Fire Department 9/11 Memorial (corner of Route 6 and Croton Falls Road), to begin at 1:30 PM. We look forward to seeing you there!
Help us cover the costs of this great celebration and we’ll help promote you and your business.
